Creating Midi Sound

Here i am creating my own sound effects (midi), you do this by clicking on the pencil under the tool bar and then draw your sounds, which creates audio, you can use the toolbar to edit, delete and do other things so you can get the sound you like. first though you have to load [vst instruments] and click on [halion one].

Difficulties

i had problems with the whole cubase programme from the start, every lesson when we were trying to add audio to the pink panther video on cubase i always seemed to encounter a problem. the most common problem was that the video wouldnt show and also i kept seeming to lose most of my audio files on cubase. even though i followed in instructions properly cubase never seemed to work with me. the only thing i could of done but i didnt due to absence was record live audio which probably would not of worked with the programme anyway.

I know i could of done better on this project if the programme actually worked, but because of missing files and the programme not working properly i dont have much to show for my project.

Device Set Up

To hear sound and video (if you cant already) on cubase go to [devices] then scroll down to [device set up]

Click on [video files] and then select [quicktime video file]

Firstly click on [VST Audio System] and then depending on whether your headphones are in the back or front of the computer, choose [Generic Low Latency] if your headphones are in the front of the computer and [M-Audio Delta] if the headphones are connected in the back of the computer. 

Importing Audio Files on Cubase

This is what you pretty much start out from in the beggining once you have uploaded the video you are choosing to create audio with.

      

To import audio on to cubase firstly click on [file] then scroll down to [import >] then scroll across to [audio file] (which is shown to the left). select the audio file from your user area or documents and then double click on it, and lastly it will come up with the box which is shown above and simply click ok.
